Grande Anse

Following our trip from the Cascades Langevin, my parents and I decided to take a trip to Grande Anse for the rest of the afternoon. It was a super busy Sunday, so finding a car park spot was difficult but doable.

As you walk down to the beach you're greeted by hundreds of palm trees and bright green grass. There is just one little snack bar at the bottom of the car park, where we decided to stop for a late lunch. The grassy areas were packed with locals with music playing loudly and people dancing and sharing food.

The beach itself is beautiful, quite possibly one of my favourite places in Réunion. It is situated in a long bay, with hundreds of palm trees, cliffs either side and a small natural swimming pool. The majestic white-tailed tropicbirds, flying around the sky made this feel like the scene from Jurassic Park 2, but honestly the beach is just so natural, I felt so calm and mellow laying on the white sand, listening to the waves.
