Officially one of my favourite cities, Amsterdam is trendy and has plenty to do. This post follows my trip there, day by day. As you'll find out a common theme of the trip was walking - you can walk everywhere in Amsterdam and it's what makes the trip more relaxing!

Day 1:

Arrived in afternoon at our Hostel; CLINKNOORD (recommend; very clean with friendly staff and good facilities).

Walked; got a feel for the city. Since our hostel was in Amsterdam North we had to get a free ferry across the canal.

Stopped and had a Dutch speciality (jokes) - Pizza!

Day 2:

Walked and tried the famous chips of Amsterdam. We then visited the BodyWorld Museum which contained more than 200 anatomical specimens of real human bodies; really interesting and unique.

Day 3:

Waffles for breakfast at a little bakery, followed by walks around the city - the square of museums, the FOODHALLEN and a trip up the A'DAM lookout observation tower.

Day 4:

A trip to Vondel park via some scenic canals followed by the Van Gogh museum. Then a late flight home.
