After an unorganised and rather disappointing day at uni, a friend and I took a visit to the natural history museum located in the Jardin de l'État of the Saint-Denis centre.
The building itself was a former colonial palace, so there was a rich ambience as we walked past the stuffed mammals.
I was really impressed with the collections available and the information too! The permanent collection presented the island's land and sea animals in an old fashioned styled way.
But I really enjoyed the crystals and minerals, something you don't often get to see in museums, and the shells and butterflies!
It only really took 30 minutes or so to explore but was still definitely worth the visit and it was free for students!
