My second beach visit since arriving in Réunion and it was not one to disappoint. Boucan Canot is a stunning beach with beautiful sands, crashing waves and bright aqua blue sea, not to mention the cute little beach bars along the edge.
Though it once had shark nets, these are no longer in action so swimming is prohibited however there is a little swimming pool within the rocks supervised by lifeguards.
And believe it or not, from the beach we saw humpback whales! Despite the fact that its the season where humpback whales visit Reunion, I wasn't expecting to see them whilst chilling out on the beach. It was amazing to see a few whale tails, fin splashes and spray from the blowholes. But what made this experience even better was seeing the whales jump out of the water! It was amazing to see these enormous mammals lift their bodies out of the water in a whale style aerobics.
So glad we visited this beach!
