A week on and I decided to show my friends the amazing waterfalls I went to with my parents. Since we had no car, we caught the O1 car jaune bus from Saint Denis to RDT L'Eperon (blue dot on map).
This was perfect, because we were able to cross the road, go through the gate and walk down towards Bassin Malheur, a waterfall my friend had been to so we knew we were going in the right direction. Note: this short journey did consist of climbing down a ladder and a rocky scramble at points.
The Bassin was lovely but here you could still here the passing of cars from the road above. We decided to follow the running water down towards Bassin des Aigrettes. This was so worth the journey! The walk consisted of walking through caves, over rocks and amongst the trees! Eventually we arrived at Bassin des Aigrettes and chilled out for a couple hours before catching the 8a bus (8b takes you directly to Boucan Canot beach) down to Saint Gilles.
