Yesterday evening I took a trip to the Indian Night Market in the centre of Saint-Denis. It was a night to celebrate the Indian culture, with dancing, drums, music, parades and plenty of food and artisanal stalls.
For those interested I had a vegetable biryani for my dinner. I particularly enjoyed this street fair culture, and it was crazy to see how many people, specifically the locals, had gathered for this event. Families were supporting their children who performed in the dances, and children were helping their parents at the stalls; the sense of community here is something I feel we rarely see in the UK.
