¡Hola de Zaragoza mis amigos!
I will be spending my second semester, from February till June, in Zaragoza, Spain. This is the second part of my year abroad which equates to my 3rd year of my degree (4 years in total). I am studying at the University of Zaragoza and my primary reason for being here: to practice and improve my Spanish!
Having already arrived in Zaragoza and being here for just over a week, I was questioning how I would use my blog. I wasn't sure whether I'd have much to say, especially in comparison to Réunion Island, since that was somewhere completely new for me, whereas Spain...it's just Spain? That being said I've decided I will keep my blog alive; I'm going to share any little findings or fun things I get up to, but there will be no scheduled posts.
For those of you who have never heard of Zaragoza...
Zaragoza is the capital of autonomous community of Aragon, located inland, in the North East of Spain, by the French boarder. The city is famous for its folklore, local gastronomy, architecture and landmarks. It is situated by the Ebro river which is the second longest river in the Iberian peninsula. It has a population which is 7 times that of Norwich. It has an interesting climate in that it rarely rains here since it lies in a wide basin entirely surrounded by mountains which block off moist air from the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Though it is sunny here, there are cold winds coming from the north, known as Cierzo which makes it seems colder than it is.
