This island is full of diverse environments, from beaches to mountains, busy markets to the gushing waterfalls. I've compiled a comprehensive list of the best and safest waterfalls to visit on your trip to Reunion Island.
Cascade Langevin
Getting there : Winding path, with some steep inclines, so confident driver necessary. Difficult to get to by bus.
Possible to swim? : Yes and no, it's easier to swim in the flowing water lower down.
Tips : Go during the week when there's less locals and check the weather beforehand, because the journey isn't fun in the rain.
Rating : 5*
Cascades de Saint Gilles
These three waterfalls are all found in the same area, so it is easy to visit them all on the same day! The walk to each one is also great fun with caves and tree top paths.
Getting there : Bus or car, both super easy!
Possible to swim? : Yes! Specifically Cascade des Aigrettes.
Tips : Go morning or lunchtime, it tends to get very busy in the afternoon and since the paths are thin, the more people there are, the more difficult the journey is.

Trois Cascades
Getting there : Possible by bus or car.
